Behind the scenes, the cost of running a salon and the products we stylists use, has increased significantly over the past few years.  I believe in transparency, so here’s a look at what’s driving those changes and why quality still matters.

Professional hair products have seen noticeable price increases due to:

The shampoos, conditioners, color, and treatments we use daily simply cost more to source than they used to. Some of our products have doubled in the past year! I know, crazy right?!

Professional Tools & Equipment Cost More
As one of my cosmetology teachers said years ago, "You're only as good as the tools you use!" High-quality tools, dryers, irons, clippers, and back-bar equipment, have also increased in price.
These modern technologies offer better performance and help protect hair health, but these improvements comes at a higher cost to maintain and replace.

Operating a Salon Is More Expensive
Beyond hair products, everyday business costs continue to rise:

• Rent and utilities
• Insurance and licensing
• Sanitation and safety supplies
• Booking systems and payment processing

These behind-the-scenes expenses are essential to providing a professional, comfortable experience.
